   Areas affected...Eastern Alabama...Florida Panhandle...Extreme
   western Georgia...extreme southern Tennessee

   Concerning...Tornado Watch 721...722...

   Valid 290534Z - 290730Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 721, 722 continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat will spread across eastern Alabama and the
western Florida Panhandle into extreme western Georgia after
midnight. New watch may be warranted later this morning downstream.

DISCUSSION...An elongated QLCS, arcing roughly 500 miles, currently
   extends from middle Tennessee-central Alabama-southeast LA-northern
Gulf of Mexico. This MCS is largely supported by a strong upper
trough that has advanced into the lower MS Valley, and a pronounced
LLJ that extends across AL into KY. This activity is expected to
remain organized as it propagates downstream into an air mass that
is adequately buoyant, but strongly sheared. Isolated damaging winds
continue to be reported along the leading edge of the MCS, and a few
embedded circulations are noted at times. Of note, a few pre-squall
line supercells continue across southeast AL and the tornado
potential appears to be a bit higher with these more isolated,
   longer-lived updrafts.

With time, a new watch may be warranted downstream.
